Can I breastfeed while being on medications?

GAYATHRI RAMADUGU

★☆☆☆☆

Very disappointing experience at Rainbow Hospital OP Block, Kondapur, especially on the 3rd floor.

Despite having a prior appointment, the process appeared to be handled more on a first-come, first-served basis rather than according to scheduled appointment times. This defeats the purpose of booking an appointment in advance.

Patients and their families plan their day, travel, and often take time off work based on the allotted appointment slot. However, there seemed to be little consideration for patients’ time, resulting in unnecessary waiting and inconvenience.

I request the hospital management to review the operations on the 3rd floor and ensure that appointment schedules are respected. A well-managed appointment system is essential for providing a better patient experience.

Thank you.

How to maintain healthy eating while travelling ?
  • Dieticians Verified expert Hi, Pratiemmaa, These are the Healthy Eating Practices for Travelers 1. Carry nutritious snacks such as fruits, nuts, seeds, roasted chana, or homemade snacks. 2. Stay well-hydrated by drinking adequate amounts of water throughout the day. 3. Avoid skipping meals, as this may lead to excessive hunger and overeating later. 4. Practice portion control, especially when dining at restaurants or buffets. 5. Plan ahead and focus on balanced food choices rather than striving for perfection. A balanced and mindful approach can help support healthy eating habits while travelling.

How many meals should a baby eat at 8 months ?
  • Dieticians Verified expert Hi, Pratiemmaa, At 8 months of age, most infants generally require 3-4 small meals of complementary foods per day, along with continued breastfeeding or formula feeding on demand. Depending on the baby’s appetite and developmental readiness, 1 nutritious snack may also be introduced between meals if needed. Breast milk or formula continues to remain the primary source of nutrition during this stage, while complementary feeding helps support growth, development, and acceptance of different foods and textures.
